Shower Unit — How it works
Normal mode: Press PD-6ANS → fan on → HA automation fires via L-BRIDGEPRO → Shelly 1PM relay closes → heater on → 15 min → both off automatically
App control: Fan and heater are separate entities in HA — either can be toggled independently from the app
Fallback (HA down): Open the Shelly app → toggle heater directly. Fan PD-6ANS still works as a normal switch regardless. Physical button can be added later (Shelly Button 1, ~$10, no gang needed) if needed.
Shelly 1PM sits hidden behind the single switch plate — only the PD-6ANS is visible on the wall
Single-gang wall plate: One paddle (PD-6ANS) is all that's visible. The Shelly 1PM is hidden in the box behind it. No gang is consumed by the heater control — the app handles fallback if needed.
Toilet Unit — How it works
Fan — two locations: PD-6ANS at the main bathroom entrance + Pico remote inside the toilet room. Paired via L-BRIDGEPRO, act as a virtual 3-way switch.
Pico is battery-powered — no line voltage needed inside the toilet room
Heater — dumb switch: Standard wall switch, no smart control needed
Heater switch must be 20A rated — the heater draws 13.3A and a standard 15A switch is undersized
Why not Lutron for heater switching? The PTC heater draws 13.3A continuously. PD-6ANS is rated 6A max — a code violation and fire hazard on a 13.3A load. In the shower, the Shelly 1PM relay (16A) handles all heater switching. In the toilet, a proper 20A-rated dumb switch is used instead.
Dedicated circuits: Each FV-0511VH1 requires its own dedicated 20A circuit — they cannot share. The shower heat circuit runs from panel → switch box → Shelly 1PM → ceiling unit. The toilet circuit runs panel → ceiling unit with a dumb 20A switch on the heat lead.

Shelly 1PM vs Pro 1: The 1PM is the compact form factor (~17mm deep) designed to sit behind a wall switch. Pro 1 is DIN rail / panel-mount. Same 16A relay and WiFi, same HA integration — 1PM is the right choice for an in-wall-box install. Power monitoring is a bonus for confirming the heater circuit is healthy.
